1. The Service
Mise Logic Lab is a SaaS platform operated by Mise Logic Lab Inc. based in Victoria, BC. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Mise Logic Lab is a restaurant operations platform. The Compliance Bundle comprises Routine Lab and Safety Lab. Other modules are not included unless expressly offered.
2. Eligibility
The Compliance Bundle is offered in Canada for users 18+. You must select a province for tailored content; you remain responsible for compliance.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Subscription & Billing
Fees are CAD $49/mo or $500/yr per location. Paddle is our Merchant of Record. Payments are billed in advance under Paddle Terms.
Trial. Public signups receive a 14-day free trial. There is no automatic charge. To continue, you must purchase a paid subscription or access will pause.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer, build a competing product, scrap, bypass limits, upload harmful content, or share accounts unauthorized.
6. Intellectual Property & Data Rights
6.1 Our IP. The Service and documentation are owned by Mise Logic Lab and protected by intellectual property law.
6.2 Your Content. You own your uploaded Customer Data. You grant us a license to host and process data solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
6.4 Aggregated Data. You grant a license to use anonymized data to improve AI and produce research. Aggregated data excludes safety incident details.
6.5 AI Processing. The Service uses third-party AI providers (currently Lovable AI Gateway) to process certain Customer Data. You authorize this processing.
8. Warranties & Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS". We do not guarantee regulatory compliance or inspector approval. Review AI outputs before reliance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Parties submit to the jurisdiction of Victoria, British Columbia.

1. Who We Are
Mise Logic Lab Inc. ("we", "us") is a federally incorporated Canadian company, based in Victoria, British Columbia, that operates the Mise Logic Lab platform and is the data controller for the personal information described here. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC's PIPA).
2. What We Collect
The service currently released for sale is the Compliance Bundle (Routine Lab and Safety Lab). We collect:
Account and business info: name, email, password hash, restaurant name, location address, phone and province.
Team info: the names, work contact details, roles and certificates you enter for your staff.
Communications: support requests, feedback, and messages you send us.
Compliance records you create: routine, temperature, cooling and cleaning logs, checklists and corrective actions, equipment and supplier tag records, incident, near-miss and hazard records, WHMIS and safety data sheet documents, training records, written policies and signature records, and files or photos you attach.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and IP address.
Payment info: payment and billing information is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Mise Logic Lab does not store full payment-card details.
Other Mise Logic Lab modules (for example recipes, inventory, invoices, purchasing and sales analytics) are not part of the released Compliance Bundle. If we make them generally available and they collect additional categories of data, we will update this policy first.
3. How We Use It
Contract: to create your account, operate the Service, provide requested features, manage support, and administer subscriptions.
Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, understand usage, and improve reliability and features.
Consent: for optional communications or processing where consent is required; you may withdraw it.
Legal obligations: to keep required records and respond to lawful requests.
We may use anonymized aggregate analytics and AI processing as described in our Terms.
4. Sharing
We share personal data only with:
Service providers and subprocessors for cloud hosting, analytics, support tooling, communications, and AI inference, bound by appropriate obligations.
Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, cancellations, and refunds.
Professional advisers such as legal and accounting providers where necessary.
Legal authorities when required by law.
Successors in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We use contractual safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest.
6. Retention
We retain Customer Data while your account is active and for 30 days after cancellation or termination, so you can export, print or reactivate. After that period it is deleted or anonymized. You may ask us to delete your records sooner by emailing us. Encrypted backups are retained on their normal rotation cycle and age out after that, so deleted records may persist briefly in backups. Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing aaron@miselogiclab.com. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential processing, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, row-level security in the database, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage strong passwords and account vigilance.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

11. Changes

Refund Policy — Mise Logic Lab

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the Mise Logic Lab Compliance Bundle. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date.
The Compliance Bundle (Routine Lab + Safety Lab) is CAD $49 per month or CAD $500 per year, per restaurant location. The 14-day free trial requires no credit card and never charges you automatically — you only pay if you actively choose a paid plan.
Eligible refunds are processed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record and authorized reseller, which handles payment processing, billing, applicable sales taxes, order-related support, subscription administration and refunds. Mise Logic Lab remains responsible for product and technical support. To request a refund, visit paddle.net or contact our support team at support@miselogiclab.com.
After the 30-day period, subscriptions remain active until the end of the current billing period. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through Paddle. Contact support if you need assistance managing your subscription.
Security & Privacy Overview — Mise Logic Lab

Mise Logic Lab holds food-safety and workplace-safety records for restaurants: temperature logs, checklists, incidents, training, and written policies. Some of it is sensitive, and some of it may be read back years later by a regulator. This page sets out plainly how we protect it.
Where your records live
Records are held in a managed cloud database with automatic daily backups and point-in-time recovery.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and encrypted at rest on disk.
Files you attach — photos, safety data sheets, signed forms — go to private storage that is never publicly listable; each file is served through a short-lived, signed link only to someone already signed in with permission to see it.
Who can see what
Every table enforces row-level access rules in the database itself, not just in the app, so requests are evaluated against those rules even if someone crafts one by hand.
Row-level access controls are designed to restrict restaurant accounts to authorized records — their own locations, team, logs and policies.
Violence and harassment reports are stricter again: only people you designate as confidential handlers can open one. A reporter can name a manager who must be excluded, everyone else sees only that a report exists, and every single view is written to an access log.
Administrative actions taken by Mise Logic Lab staff are recorded in an audit trail with who did it, to which account, and when.
Sign-in and accounts
Sign-in uses email and password or Google. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes — nobody at Mise Logic Lab can read them.
Sessions use short-lived tokens that refresh automatically and are revoked on sign-out.
Password reset never reveals whether an email address has an account, so the form can't be used to discover your staff.
Repeated failed sign-ins are rate limited.
Your data is yours
We do not sell data, and we do not share your records with any third party for marketing.
You can print or export your logs, policies, training records and incidents at any time — including after a trial ends.
If you close your account, your records stay available for 30 days so you can export them, and are then deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete them sooner. Encrypted backups age out on their normal retention cycle.
We collect the minimum personal information needed for these records: name, work email, role, and the training, routine or incident detail you enter.
Reliability and incident response
The service runs on redundant, managed infrastructure with automated monitoring.
Offline-capable workflows store entries locally and sync them when connectivity returns, so the app keeps working in walk-ins and cold rooms.
If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify the affected account without undue delay, describe what was involved, and tell you the steps we have taken.
Your responsibilities
Use individual accounts rather than one shared login, so records show who actually did the check.
Remove people in the team list when they leave.
Keep the confidential-handler list short and current — those are the only people who can open sensitive reports.
